How big is the church?
With an amazing history spanning 150 years, our church body has certainly grown and changed. Woodburn has a small church feel but with a lot of people attending. We currently have more than 600 attenders who claim our church as home. Our 8:00 a.m. service averages around 200 people, CAFÉ Worship (a more casual atmosphere) averages around 90 people, our 9:30 sanctuary service averages around 150, and our 11:00 a.m. service typically has 200 people in attendance.
What times do you offer worship opportunities?
Our 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. sanctuary services are identical, featuring a mixture of our heritage in hymns and modern music accompanied by a band, and features live preaching. These services are located in the Sanctuary in the main building. At 9:30 we offer CAFÉ Worship on the first floor of The Next Center where you will find a small band, coffee, conversation, and video preaching. All services are a celebration of God and the work He is doing in our lives.
In addition to our Sunday morning services we have opportunities for you to gather with other members/attenders on Sunday night at 6:00 p.m. in a more interactive teaching atmosphere with our senior pastor as well as on Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m. where we spend time in prayer for specific needs and a message from our pastor.
What do you offer for children on Sunday mornings?
Children are a special part of our congregation and we value them as full participants in the life of our church. Small Groups for children (birth through the 6th grade) begin at 9:30 a.m. Learn more about our Children's Ministry HERE.
What do you offer for babies and toddlers?
Nursery care is provided for both infants and toddlers (to age 3) from 8:00 a.m. until the conclusion of the 11:00 service each week. The nurseries are located in the Preschool Wing. Our infant nursery has cribs and infant toys and is staffed by trained and highly skilled caregivers. There is also a Nursing Mother’s Room for new moms to have some privacy during feeding. Our toddler nursery, located next door, offers a spacious play area with many fun, interactive toys for the children. Care is provided by experienced childcare workers who love to share God’s love. Who goes to your church?
We welcome and love everyone that chooses to join us in worship. Our attenders range from birth to folks in their 80’s. Once you begin to meet people you will see that there is great diversity in our church from married, single, divorced, widowed, mixed family, stay at home, professionals, business owners, retired, students, well travelled and even some life long Woodburn residents. Amidst a congregation that represents such variety our goal is ultimately for you to feel loved and welcomed when you come.
What do I wear when I come?
We encourage you to attend in what you feel comfortable wearing. When you come you will also see a variety in personal styles while some sport their “Sunday best” others keep it casual in jeans and sandals. Our focus is more on the fact that you’ve chosen to spend your time with us rather than what you show up wearing. Regardless of attire we want to help you encounter God and grow in your relationship with Him.
